Responsible Energy Receives Approval for Amended ECA

An amended Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) has been issued by Ontario's Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks to Responsible Energy Inc. for their Free Radical Gasification (FRG™) Facility located in Eastern Ontario.

On April 17, 2020, Responsible Energy was issued by Ontario's Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) an amended Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) that enables the processing of industrial liquid wastes and post recycled plastics at our Maitland Facility currently under construction. These new feedstocks are in addition to the already approved Biomass, Biosolids and unsorted MSW granted by the MECP back in 2017.

Ministry ECA reference number 2043-B3UL73

Responsible Energy’s President and CEO, Gordon Fraser is quoted as saying, ‘With our ECA amendment approved, we can now commercialize our proven advanced thermal waste conversion technology. After 12 years of development, which includes more than 40,000 combined hours of research, design, testing, trials, and operations, I extremely proud of everything our team has accomplished to date, while spending only 1/10th of the capital required by the competition."

About Responsible Energy Inc. and Free Radical Gasification (FRG™):

Responsible Energy’s Free Radical Gasification (FRG™) system employs a net positive energy conversion process at a temperature > 5,000oC without combustion. The primary product of the process is a consistent, industry leading, very high BTU syngas using any solid or liquid feedstock.

Responsible Energy has to date 7 issued patents for our advanced thermal process, which can reduce Green House Gases (GHGs) by eliminating the need for incinerators and landfills.

Responsible Energy‘s next generation energy conversion process can simply further convert the FRG™ syngas into a multitude of valuable commodities such as renewable natural gas, electricity, heat, hydrogen, ethanol, biodiesel, dimethyl ether, and even fertilizer.
